5. Legend supports the return of E.T.
Legend supports the theory that E.T. must return. In South America there is the legend of Quetzalcoatl (Mesoamerica) or Viracocha (Inca) where a white, bearded God came from the sky and taught the people a better way of life including agriculture and industrial techniques. Before leaving He promised them He would return. They waited and waited for the return. When the Spanish conquistadors came to the Americas the Indians worshiped them supposing they were the promised return of Quetzalcoatl or Viracocha.
Even though E.T. was not meant to be a parable of Jesus Christ there are plenty of evidences in the movie and countless reviews written that support this theory. So in keeping with the parable of Christ and the belief that He will return again someday I believe that E.T. must also return. It's only fitting.
